Sam’s Jewellery Journey: From Auctions to Antiques

My love for beautiful jewellery and antiques began in childhood, with early memories of attending old-fashioned general auctions alongside my parents. There was a special thrill in spotting a hidden gem and snagging a bargain as a youngster—those pieces that caught my eye were the start of a lifelong passion.

As I grew older, my hobby blossomed into a business. I ran several units at various antique centres, sharing those early finds—and the stories behind them—with new owners. There’s nothing quite like the excitement of unearthing a unique piece of jewellery, discovering its special qualities, and then witnessing the delight on a new owner’s face as they showcase it by wearing it. That joy has always been, and still is, a real delight for me.

My journey took me even further: I went on to own my own antique centre, run auctions, and carry out valuations. Life threw me a curveball with a downturn in health, and I made the decision to step back and focus on the things I truly enjoy.
